California’s problems have been exported to Maryland.
Yesterday my eldest son picked up a package of diabetic blood lancets from a Walgreen store in Ellicott City. Before opening the package he discovered that he had purchased the wrong type lancet. This morning he returned the unopened package, with receipt, and requested a refund. Instead of a refund he received a store credit, less a charge of $5.00. When my son questioned the charge, he was told that the charge was now standard practice at Walgreen in order to cover the company’s recent losses from rampant thievery — especially smash and grab activities by un-prosecuted thieves in California.
So now we are paying the price for the breakdown of law and order in California.
