Tomorrow is election day, and I think it proper for me to compose a prayer for this occasion. 

This is a critical moment for the future of our country.  Those of you who read my blog know that I have been very hard on the Democrat Party.  Many people support the Democrats, and for years I was also a member of that party.  In recent years, however, the Democrat Party has gone horribly astray.  Its leadership appears corrupt, and they support an agenda that is highly antithetical to our Judeo-Christian ethos.  Unfortunately, rank and file Democrats seem unaware of what is going on.  They are fed a stream of lies by a mainstream media that has no respect for truth and balance in its news coverage.  All of us, liberal and conservative, are forced to find our way through a fog of misinformation.  Lord, help us discern the truth.

Dear Heavenly Father.  We entreat you for your blessings upon

our beloved nation.  Give us discernment as we select our leaders, and

we pray that we choose wise men and women who seek your will and

always strive for that which is best for our country. 

Endue us with a true love for all our fellow citizens,

and help us as we continue our struggle to create

a more perfect union.
