I have written all this before, but I believe it to be a truth that should be pounded into the brain of every man and woman — and especially into the minds of young students.

You are a miracle!  Life itself is a miracle!

Not all the king’s horses and all the king’s men.  Not all the scientists in all of world’s universities and laboratories.  Not one of these has been able to unravel the mystery of life. 

The tiniest living cell is incredibly small; yet, as microbiologist Michael Denton once wrote, “within that tiny cell exists a veritable micro-miniaturized factory containing thousands of exquisitely designed pieces of intricate molecular machinery, made up altogether of one hundred thousand million atoms, far more complicated than any machinery built by man and absolutely without parallel in the non-living world.” Also, within that cell, there is a remarkable code containing an organism’s complete set of genetic instructions needed to build that organism and allow it to grow and develop. In humans, a copy of this entire code, consisting of more than 3 billion DNA base pairs, is contained in every cell that has a nucleus.  Our bodies contain billions upon billions of cells, each containing the incredibly complex code that determines the shape of our nose, the color of our eyes, etc, etc.   It’s a recipe book for the entire body.
