Our First Child

Sixty-nine years ago, on November 25, 1953,  my wife gave birth to our first child, Edwin Sandy Jordan, Jr.  I was almost ten thousand miles away at that moment, serving with the United States Army in Korea.  I did not see my son for another ten months.

This is a photograph of Ann with Sandy Jr.

Beautiful memories.

  1. Uncle Sandy: Do you recognize where this photo was taken, in which room of which house? I suppose I am wondering if this is the cottage at Carolina Beach?

    1. Paul, There was a small garage apartment behind my parent’s home on Canal Drive in Carolina Beach. I believe it was taken there.
