“Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad.”
At no moment in our nation’s history has that ancient saying seemed more appropriate than today.
Last month Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed into law a measure that forbids instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity to children in grades pre-K through grade 3. The legislation states that “classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.”
The legislation appears eminently reasonable. What children of a very young age are ready for that sort of sexual indoctrination? Who wants to teach them about homosexuality and transgenderism, and why?
It seems obvious that many LGBT activists wish to recruit young minds to their own perverted views of gender and sexuality, and the groomers are angry if they can’t discuss inappropriate sexual concepts and content with prepubescent children. They attack conservative leaders like DeSantis with venom. They also resort to ridiculous hyperbole. For example, Pete Buttigieg, our outspoken homosexual Secretary of Transportation, implied to co-host Ana Navarro on “The View” that anti-grooming bills such as that passed in Florida are going to kill kids.
What nonsense. the suggestion that children will become suicidal if they do not learn about sex at five years old is ridiculous. Children are hardly even old enough to dress themselves at that age; they are certainly not old enough to decide if they want to change gender identities., Also, it is highly unlikely that any child under ten would bring up sexual orientation or gender identity unless prompted by an adult; and even in that case, a serious conversation about such a sensitive issue should be reserved for parents to have with their own child. Teachers have no place in it.
LGBT proponents and their allies in the liberal media and the Democrat Party think otherwise. They believe parents should have little to no part in their children’s education/indoctrination. They, the enlightened elite, are fighting for a brave new genderless world, and they must rescue any child unfortunate enough to have been born into a family of Neanderthals.
The very fact that Florida needed to pass such legislation to protect children is proof enough that our nation teeters on the brink of madness.
