Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire!

The mainstream  media called Trump a liar when he said that he had been spied on by Democrat operatives during the 2016 Presidential campaign and after his election.  Trump is no model of verisimilitude, but it now appears that he was absolutely correct about this.  Recent filings in the Durham investigation reveal that people working for the Clinton campaign, and possibly even members of Obama’s administration, tapped the communications of Trump and his associates in an effort to  obtain incriminating information against him.

Remember Trump’s October 2020 interview with Leslie Stahl on 60 Minutes.  Trump said that he had been spied upon, and Leslie insisted that it was not true.  Who was right?  Will Trump ever get an apology from 60 Minutes.? I hope so, but I doubt it.

It grieves me to know that I can no longer trust American reporters and journalists.  Many of them have adopted an agenda, and they will not allow facts to stand in their way.  Are any major news channels reporting on the Durham revelations?  The search for truth no longer seems to be their goal.

It is difficult to discern the liars from truth tellers. Would it not be great if liars’ pants did catch fire?

  1. Your statement about newsmen and journalists, “Many of them have adopted an agenda, and they will not allow facts to stand in their way. “, reminded me of a dire warning by C.S. Lewis in “Mere Christianity”. Lewis wrote, “The most dangerous thing you can do is to take any one impulse of your own nature and set it up as the thing you ought to follow at all costs. There is not one of them which will not make us into devils if we set it up as an absolute guide.”

I cannot decide whether the journalists of today succumb more to the impulse for fame and acclaim, or to push a political ideology. I have become certain of one thing in past years, there is no reasoning with their TDS impulses.

‘Fiddling with facts for fame or fortune is a devilish endeavor.’
    (I made that up. *smile*)

  2. “Would it not be great if liars’ pants did catch fire?”

I predict that most of the news media would disappear over night!

I listen to those idiots that can’t even pronoun people’s names and the names of cities properly and wonder why anyone would ever consider them to be accurate about ANYTHING!
