The Lord is Come!

Many years ago I wrote a play entitled “The Lord Is Come!”   It was based on Leo Tolstoy’s short story, “Where Love Is, God Is,’ and we performed it at our church.  It was an affirmation of the presence of God among us.

Two days ago we celebrated the birth of Lord Jesus.

Our Creator God, master of the universe, loved us enough to send His Son into the world – His Son who was in the beginning with God — God of God – Man of Man.  “In Him was life, and the life was the light of the world.  The light shone in the darkness.  He was in the world, and the world was made for Him, yet the world knew Him not.”

This perfect One, the Lamb of God, the King of Glory, laid down His life for us,  for you and me,  in order that we should not die but should have eternal life.

Oh, what matchless  love!

Praise be to God!

How great Thou art!
