A month has elapsed since the election, and there remains a boiling undercurrent of uncertainty about the outcome. Our citizens are divided into the following camps.
- Those who believe that Joseph Biden won the election legitimately, and election fraud was minimal. Biden is their President.
- Those who believe that there may have been considerable fraud, but they think that provable fraud is insufficient to change the outcome. Biden is therefore President elect.
- Those who believe that there is provable fraud on a massive scale, and they wish to fight the issue out in the state legislatures, the courts, and the U.S. House of Representatives. The believe Trump was the legitimate winner.
The 1s and 3s are the ones who worry me. Will they ever accept defeat? Political passions are very strong. Will there be riots and revolution if the decision goes against them?
This eerie sense of peaceful calm somehow reminds me of the interval between the assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand and the outbreak of the Great War in 1914. Turmoil seethes beneath the surface as we await events..
Pray for our country.
P.S. I believe Trump was the legitimate winner, but I am prepared to accept a decision by the Supreme Court on this matter.
