Dear Heavenly Father,

You have given us a beautiful country. Indeed, You brought our ancestors into a good land of flowing waters, rich soil, and abundant products of every sort.  As a people, we are truly blessed. 

Lord, in our arrogance we sometimes forget from whom our blessings flow.  Let us remember that without Thee we are nothing.  As a people, we must always honor You, our Creator, and we must teach our children to love You and to love one another. 

Today we are engaged in a great national election to determine who will lead our nation forward.  As I write these words the decision has already been made, and citizens are affirming their choice with their ballot.  I pray that we have chosen wisely. Bless us, dear Father, and give us Your peace
