To the Core

It saddens me to see the state of the Democratic Party (or, as the Republicans prefer it, the Democrat Party).

At one time I was proud to be a registered Democrat, but I abandoned that allegiance three decades ago. Since that time the party has drifted further and further to the left. I once believed that there were many high-minded political leaders who identified themselves as Democrats. Today I cannot think of one national Democrat Party leader for whom I have sincere respect. In fact, as more information is uncovered about unethical (and probably illegal) machinations by Obama, Clinton, Brennan, Comey and others during the 2016 and 2020 Presidential campaigns, I am beginning to believe that party leadership is rotten to the core. Adding to evidence of their intellectual and moral bankruptcy, how else explain the willingness of so many Democrat notables to endorse the candidacy of the Communist Zohran Mamdani to be mayor of New York? Not one of them has the honesty and the courage to call Mamdani out as the threat he is.
