As I understand it, Trump wishes to do the following:
- Use tariffs along with foreign and domestic investments to revive critical American manufacturing industries such as steel, aluminum, computers, shipbuilding, chips, robotics, etc.
- Maximize the American energy industry (oil, gas, nuclear, green, etc.) as a source of wealth and leverage in foreign trade and to lower costs for the American consumer.
- Guarantee world leadership in AI.
- Ensure America’s military dominance, but avoid military actions unless absolutely necessary to protect the homeland. Refrain from foreign interventions and state building.
- Control immigration and restrict new citizenships to persons who are likely to become an asset to America (of course, a guest worker program will still be required).
- Reform American education system to put a greater emphasis on trade schools. Promote school choice in primary and secondary schools.
- Defend nationalism and traditional values of Western culture against the assaults of globalists, wokists and the LGBT+ cabal.
- Support Robert Kennedy, Jr’s MAHA program to improve the general heath of American citizens and reverse the alarming increase in chronic diseases, especially in children.
- Restore a sense of balance and fairness in the American judicial system. Eliminate political activism in the courts and reenergize the assault on crime.
- Build a social hierarchy based on merit (hard work, intelligence and success).
The great majority of Americans favor these very same goals, but many of them do not like Trump. Much of their dislike can be attributed to the unremitting hostility of the mainline media, the entertainment moguls, and academia. Look behind the curtain, and I do not believe you will find a monster, but a man who is truly dedicated to doing his very best for his country.
The question remains as to how successful Trump will be in implementing his policies. It will be difficult, and the Democrats seem determined to contest him on every point. There will be periods of travail, and if Trump stumbles at a critical point the Democrats are liable to retake Congress and bring MAGA to an untimely end.
As for the Democratic alternative, the party seems to be totally bereft of intelligent and moral leadership at the national level. Except for their hatred of Trump, I have no idea what people like Schumer and Warren stand for. I’m certain that there are some good Democrat leaders at the state and local level, but they have not percolated to the point of national prominence.

My sentiments exactly.
