It now appears that the Trump Derangement Syndrome is contagious. It affects anyone who is associated with Trump. The closer the association with Trump, the more virulent the infection.
As proof, let’s take the case of Elon Musk.
Musk was once the darling of the American media. He had no partisan identity, so he had admirers among both Democrats and Republicans. His achievements are legendary – the world’s best electric car, SpaceX, Starlink, etc. etc. He is the Thomas Edison of the 21st Century.
Suddenly it all changed. First was his takeover and redefinition of Twitter, converting it from a radical propaganda machine to a vehicle for free speech, both conservative and liberal. Even more damning was the moment he declared hs support for Donald Trump in the 2024 Presidential campaign. For denizens of the radical left that decision converted Musk from a hero into a traitor, and the Musk Derangement Syndrome erupted and spead in epidemic fashion.
Activist’s attacks against Musk can only be described as unhinged. They are both vicious and stupid. Musk is providing his services to Trump at no cost as the President attempts to cut waste and fraud in the huge federal bureaucracy. Both Trump and Musk realize that massive cuts are necessary if we are to balance the national budget, and the budget must be balanced if we are to avoid bankruptcy. The facts are plain. The Democrats must realize it. Why attack Musk for providing his expertise in the attempt to avoid fiscal disaster?
The derangement manifests itself in personal attacks against Elon Musk and some of his companies. Tesla car salons have been vandalized, charging stations destroyed, ec. Fortunately, the idiots did not disrupt the SpaceX launch as it left on the mission to rescue our astronauts stuck in orbit.
Perhaps the idiocy of the Democrat’s response is best exposed by looking at the actions of Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona. To protest Musk’s work with Trump to promote government efficiency, the senator sold his Tesla automobile and purchased a Chevrolet SUV. He accompanied this action by calling Musk some unpleasant names. As a former astronaut, Kelly should certainly appreciate SpaceX and its rescue mission. He should also recognize the fact that Musk is providing his help to Trump at no charge and with no appreciable gain to his business enterprises.
Why did Senator Kelly do this? Musk Derangement Syndrome appears to be the only logical answer.
