Yesterday was a sad day for the republic. For the fourth time we saw a former President indicted on spurious charges. Any conviction in these cases is almost certain to be overturned when appealed to the higher courts. The entire sordid mess is an attempt to cripple the candidacy of Donald Trump during the coming election season.

It is a stain on the American system of justice, and it should never have happened.

Even if you hate Donald Trump, I hope that you hate injustice even more. Every patriotic American, Democrat, Republican, or politically independent, should speak out against this travesty.
