The United States and Israel must bring the war with Iran to end as quickly as possible.  The longer it continues, the more likely it is that unpleasant consequences will arise. 

We had a brilliant plan for waging the war.  I am confident that we must also have a plan for peace. The Iranian military has been almost totally destroyed. Perhaps we will now arm Iranian dissidents and assist them in overthrowing what is left of Khomeini’s regime.  At that point a transitional government could be established and peace declared.  I doubt that we care what kind of Iranian government emerges so long as its leaders abandon Islamic apocalyptic visions and pursue a path of peace and friendship with America, the Israelis, and its neighbors.

If the war concludes in the next week or two, there will be an opportunity for the world to achieve a truly peaceful and prosperous Middle east, thus ending many decades of tension and conflict.  What a wonderful outcome that will be!

I congratulate President Trump for his vision and his effort.  I pray for success.
