The initial strike on Iran appears to heve been amazingly successful. The Ayatollah and his top aides were liquidated, and the Iranian military assets are being pummeled. It remains to be seen how deep the Iranian government’s control stucture was. We hope it was shallow.

As I understand the strategy, Trump has advised Iranian citizens to remain under cover as long as the heavy American/Israeli air-offensive continues. Afterwards, they will be encouraged to emerge from thir hiding places and overthow their oppressors. In the meantime, Iranian police and security forces are being urged to abandon the government and throw in with the liberators.

We should know our prospects within a few days. It may be a quick victory; or perhaps it will be a long, drawn-out slog.
