When running for office in 2024, Trump was asked about his desire for revenge against those political opponents who had attempted to destroy him. At that time he said that his victory would be his revenge. As more details about the sordid plot against him come out, the President seems to be changing his tune. Now he appears to want the Justice Department to pursue his malefactors.

I have mixed feelings about this. I want the truth revealed and the guilty parties exposed, but I want a quick end to the sort of turmoil that divides our nation. Long lasting trials of key members of the Obama and Biden administration, even when justified, will not serve to calm the political waters.

The real villains of this affair are those members of the media who continue to propagate untruths about Trump and his supporters. They lied in 2016, and they continue to lie today. We need them to do a mea culpa and begin giving us objective reporting.
