The earth has been warming over the past half century – perhaps far longer. I don’t know if it’s part of a normal cycle, how long it will continue, and whether or not human activity contributes significantly to the problem.
If human activity is a big part of the problem, it will do no good for the United States to tackle the problem alone. It would take an international effort. Even if that was achieved, the prospect of significant results would be minimal; and many of the proposed remedies would create a new set of problems, climatic and otherwise.
Climate alarmists have grossly exaggerated the speed and effects of climate change, thus damaging their credibility. I remember the 1970s when some scientists were predicting an ice age.
Assuming the warming continues, I propose we take reasonable and intelligent steps to deal with the impact rather than fight what may be inevitable.
