Trump triumphed. The Big Beautiful Bill has become law.

Now what?

Trump and his team say that the legislation will propel us on our way to unparalled prosperity. There will be a rebirth of American industry accompanied by plenteous jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities. They describe it as America’s golden age.

Democrat nay-sayers predict the opposite. They say the legislation will widen the gap between rich and poor and create nothing but misery for the latter.

Who knows how this legislation will impact us? We must also consider the effects of AI on the American economy. Democrats appear entirely bereft of plans for the future, and failure to act would mean fiscal disaster. The Republicans may be wrong, but at least they propose a path out of our present dilemma.
