Many years ago cartoonist Al Capp created a fictional detective named Fearless Fosdick, a caricature of the famous comic strip hero Dick Tracy. As portrayed, Fosdick was an absolute idiot. When Fosdick learned that a can of poisoned baked beans had been released on the market he shot anyone he saw eating beans to save them from being poisoned.

Current Democratic Party leadership is much like Fearless Fosdick. They are willing to destroy democracy and establish a totalitarian state rather than allow Trump to impose his MAGA agenda.

Obviously, the Trump Derangement Syndrome has driven Democrat leaders to the latter stages of insanity and turned them into modern Fearless Fosdicks.
