This morning my friend Todd told me of his viewing Trump’s Atlanta rally and his disappointment that Trump cannot seem to concentrate on the essential issues in this campaign.
Four years ago, shortly before the 2020 election campaign, I wrote about Trump’s communication problems. I wrote about them again on June 2, 2024.
This is essentially a repeat of what I wrote on May 18, 2020:
Dyslexia – Dyslexia is defined as chronic neurological disorder causing one great difficulty in learning to read or spell. It inhibits recognition and processing of graphic symbols, particularly those pertaining to language. Symptoms may include very poor reading skills, reversed word and letter sequences, and illegible handwriting.
Dysgraphia – Dysgraphia is a learning disability that affects writing, which requires a complex set of motor and information processing skills. Dysgraphia makes the act of writing difficult. It can lead to problems with spelling, handwriting and putting thoughts on paper. Reading ability may not be impaired, but people with dysgraphia can have trouble organizing letters, numbers and words on a line or page.
Dysspeakia – Dysspeakia does not appear in dictionaries, but I see Trump demonstrate its symptoms almost every time he speaks. Dysspeakia causes a person great difficulty in expressing thoughts in a coherent manner. Their speech is almost like a flow of consciousness, and the condition is characterized by excessive wordiness, repetition, inaccurate phraseology, carelessness with facts, and frequent hyperbole.
None of these disorders should be considered a reflection on a person’s basic intelligence or essential worthiness. I know persons with dyslexia and dysgraphia who are absolutely brilliant, and I believe this also describes Trump and his dysspeakia.. Judge an individual by his or her works, and give extra credit to the man or woman who overcomes disabilities such as these and goes on to achieve great things.
I favor Donald Trump, a man with severe dysspeakia, but also with demonstrated strength and many significant accomplishments, over the prevaricators and their sycophantic media supporters who seek to tear him down.

wow! Great blog sandy. A good word choice for trump. He is a man that I believe we will both vote for, however, I think the two of us and many others wish he would talk more on his good policies and less on attacking his opponent on race intelligence and where she is from. It is obvious that she is a flip flopper on many concerning issues and that she is avoiding interviews and unscripted campaign situations. Trump needs to remind everyone how is policy’s on energy inflation crime abortion immigration and foreign affairs differ from hers and take a break on personal attacks. He’s got to win this election but he has to be smarter and give his ego a rest.
