Last evening I witnessed an interview with Scott Rasmussen on the Daily Signal.  I urge everyone to see and listen. 

Rasmussen some very interesting observations about the American political and cultural scene.  His polling indicates the existence of a elite circle in America that exerts a powerful influence on our society.

Briefly, I sum up his findings as follows.

• The great majority of Americans remain committed to democratic principles and to Judeo-Christian ethics.

• There exists a small group of elites, highly educated persons who are concentrated in some of our major metropolitan centers and consider themselves superior human beings.  Rasmussen estimates that the comprise no more than one percent of the general population. They are not organized, but they tend to think alike.  They are anti-democratic and believe they should control the government.  Indeed, their attitude is similar to that of European aristocrats of old.

• Most of them are graduates of a few select colleges.  They tend to be globalists and anti-religious social-libertarians.  Some of them seem to think that any act they take is justified if necessary to retain their position of power vis-a-vis the ignorant rabble.  Despite their relatively small numbers, they exercise immense influence in government, academia, and the media.  

I believe Rasmussen is absolutly correct. This group of people, an elite circle, exists. I see them often on television. Though well-educated, many of them appear to lack common sense and a historical perspective. They reek with arrogance and tend to regard most of their fellow-Americans, especially Trump supporters, as uneducated bumpkins. Remember how Peter Strzok and Lisa Page indicated that they could even smell them? Do you recall Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables”?

A disproportinate number of these “elites” have ensconced themselves in the upper echelons of the Democratic Party. Let’s put them in their place this November.
