Christian Nationalism Revisited

I received some interesting responses to my article on Christian Nationalism.  One person observed that we are destined for disappointment if we place our faith and hopes in a government of men.  Another wrote “What the nation (and the world) needs has nothing to do with who governs.”

In many ways I agree with these comments. We will never have a perfect government.  A Trump administration may be even more disastrous than the Biden administration has been.  Nevertheless, I believe all committed Christians should go to the polls next November and vote the Democrats out of office.  My reasoning is as follows:

The so-called Progressives have seized leadership of the Democratic Party and exercise a powerful influence on all American society through their control of prestigious academic institutions, teacher unions, and the liberal media.  They seek to place our children under state rather than parental control, and they use that control to indoctrinate our children in their world view – a virulently anti-traditional view that attacks the very roots of our Judeo-Christian heritage.  They are redefining gender and sexual morality in ways that are diametrically opposed to Christian teaching and common sense.  They are willing to violate all electoral rules in their determination to maintain their grip on power. They are destroying our nation.

The Republicans have their faults, and their leader is a man with many flaws.  Nevertheless, as Dr. Benjamin Carson suggests, let’s judge Trump based on his works rather than his words.  Evaluated on that basis, he is the leader America needs at this time.

I agree with those who say that the church should not be involved in politics.  Nevertheless, Christians should be involved.  I believe it is the duty of all Christians in a representative democratic republic to be informed and to vote.

Please!  Study the issues.  Go to the polls in November.
