American author and journalist Mark Judge published a book in November, 2022, in which he recounted his experiences during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings. The book is titled The Devil’s Triangle.

Kavanaugh’s hearing was proceeding normally until September 16, 2018, when the the Washington Post published an allegation from Christine Blasely Ford that Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her at a high school party in the 1980s and that Kavanaugh’s friend , Mark Judge, had witnessed the event.

As she described the incident , Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed on her back and groped her over her clothes, grinding his body against hers and clumsily attempting to pull off her one-piece bathing suit and the clothing she wore over it. When she tried to scream, she said, he put his hand over her mouth. Ford said she was able to escape when Kavanaugh’s friend and classmate at Georgetown Preparatory School, Mark Judge, jumped on top of them, sending all three tumbling. She said she ran from the room, briefly locked herself in a bathroom and then fled. Her friend Leland Ingraham Keyser was also said to be at the party, but was downstairs when the alleged incident occurred.

Ford could not recall where the party took place nor could she remember how she returned home that night. Even more significant, Ford’s close childhood friend Leland Keyser said she has no recollection of being at the party Ford described and even has no memory of ever meeting Brett Kavanaugh. Mark Judge also insists he has no recollection of such an incident.

Kavanaugh had been a target of pro-abortion /pro-choice zealots from the moment he had been nominated to serve on the Supreme Court. Now they had a weapon with which they hoped to destroy him. Despite the weakness of the charge and the evidence, they went at him mercilessly. Democrats serving on the Judiciary Committee ignored his record of sterling service and hearkened to calls from leftists to ruin him. Not one Democratic senator was willing to step forward and defend Kavanaugh from increasingly scurrilous and ridiculous charges.

Perhaps even more distressing were attempts to intimidate those persons willing to speak up on Kavanaugh’s behalf. As Mark Judge describes it, he was under personal attack and severely pressured to change his story. Leland Keyser was also urged to recant. She was warned that nasty things could be said about her if she did not back up Ford.

As Judge recently told Breibart News, ” Behind the scenes of the Senate hearing, Judge found himself in a Kafka-esque type of scenario with Democrat operatives and their media allies engaged in witness tampering, extortion, and outright cruelty in their quest to destroy an innocent man.”

Kavanaugh was finally confirmed, but he and his family endured a nightmare in the process..
