Every civilized person is shocked by the horrors that just took place in Israel. It reminds me of the actions of Japanese soldiers in Nanking in 1937 and in Hong Kong in 1941. I was a young boy at that time, and I remember the newsreels. In Nanking these monsters took delight in murdering 200,000 civilians, raping tens of thousands of women, and using Chinese prisoners for bayonet practice. In Hong Kong they raped and murdered nurses as wounded soldiers watched helplessly from their beds.

Now, in October 2023, we are seeing another demonstration of cruel depravity. The Hamas terrorists kill women and children, decapitating children in front of their mothers and then murdering the mothers. Young women are raped before having their throats slit. Others are marched off into captivity. These terrorists are not human beings, they are demons in human skins.

A Lutheran pastor once wrote, ” “The heart of man is either a temple of God or a habitation of Satan.”
