Love him or hate him, there is no excuse for the travesty taking place today in New York city. Trump’s enemies are trying their best to destroy him, and in the process they are wrecking the American legal system. All Americans who support democracy and justice should stand up against this evil.

Letitia James, the Trump hating New York state Attorney General, has charged Trump with fraud for overstating the value of his properties in order to secure business loans. Many of these supposed offenses occurred more than a decade ago, but now, in the middle of Trump’s campaign for President, these charges are being litigated. James wishes to fine Trump a quarter billion dollars and force him out of business in New York.

From certain court filings, it is obvious that Attorney General James has seriously undervalued many of Trump’s properties. Also, even more important, lenders did their own appraisals before risking their money, and all of them profitted from doing business with Trump. James cannot show that any bank was actually defrauded.

That does not matter to James. If it was possible, she would send Trump to prison for jaywalking or spitting on the sidewalk. Justice be damned!
