Some weeks ago actor Kirk Cameron, together with publisher Brave Books, announced a “See You at the Library” book event for Aug. 5, 2023, The goal of the Aug. 5 event was to encourage faith-focused and family-first Americans around the country to come out to their local libraries and hold book readings or story time events for friends, families and neighbors.

In part, this was a reponse to the  Drag Queen readings that have been held in many libraries around the nation.

Cameron and his publisher were immediately attacked from the left. There were threats of lawsuits over matters of logistics, and the American Library Association came out with guidance on how libraries can discourage or even sabotage these Christian book readings.

Cameron and his supporters refused to back down, and thousands of chldren and and their parents attended “See you at the library” events held in hundreds of libraries across multiple states.

At times it appears that forces of darkness are arrayed against us. It is interesting to note that Emily Drabinski, President of the American Library Association, recently identified herself as a lesbian Marxist. Orthodox Marxism is adamantly anti-Christian, so it is no surprise that the association came out against the readings.

The battle rages on.
